"Revolutionizing Education: Bhavya D R's Innovative Approach to Empowerment"

Bhavya D R, the head mistress at Acharya Gurupurampara Vidyalaya, is a renowned educator who has made significant contributions to the field of science education.

She has a Master's degree in inorganic chemistry from Bangalore University, and she also holds a B.Ed. degree. She has been recognised for her innovative teaching methodologies and expertise in strategic planning, instructional design, student development, and community involvement.

In 2019, Bhavya was awarded the "Best Science Teacher" title by Bangalore North's Block Education Office. Later, she was awarded the national STEM SUMMIT award in New Delhi for her exceptional contributions to the field of science education. Her goal as an educator is to provide a balanced education to her students while also acknowledging their individuality.

Bhavya has worked as a junior R&D assistant at the JNCASR, CPMU unit, where she used an energy dispersive spectroscopy coupled with a scanning electron microscope (SEM) to conduct morphological analyses on both organic and inorganic specimens. She also collaborated with integrated Ph.D. students on their research projects by classifying and evaluating various materials, carrying out management plans, and maintaining and scheduling machine time. Her experience also includes working with a machine for sputtering gold, which is frequently used in semiconductor manufacturing.

Bhavya's teaching career began as a Chemistry Lecturer at Bangalore's Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies. There, she set up a lab for Bachelor of Science degree candidates for both theory and practical Chemistry papers. She served as the coordinator of practical exams and is qualified to instruct both undergraduate and graduate chemistry experiments. She achieved 100% results in Chemistry during her time at the institute.

Bhavya has also taught science to high school pupils at Bhoruka English School, where she organised science fairs, camps, and seminars to inspire her students to learn science. Her efforts to foster a scientific mindset in her students have earned her the "Best Educator with Innovative Teaching Methodology Practices" award.

Bhavya's contribution to science education has been recognised internationally. She was awarded the highest honour of Asia, "She Asia - 2022," by the national Magazine Twell. Her dedication, expertise, and innovative teaching methodologies have earned her a place among the most respected educators in India.
