Rendezvous café restaurant 2.0 opened its doors in its chic & contemporary avatar in October 2015. When we started, we had to consider the history and emotion that already existed. For instance a large segment of our patrons have been frequenting Rendezvous since 1994 as youngsters starting their lives.
The walls of Rendezvous have witnessed quite a few amazing stories from people who have met their better half here to those who have celebrated their children’s engagement. There is a lot of emotion attached in this place; from a favorite corner to their favorite dish which was had on occasions. The current menu has the signature items from my dad’s menu but overall we revamped it to cater to the evolving palate of our patrons. We were so thrilled to see our patrons travel from around the country for the opening. And once again Rendezvous soon found pride of place in Rue Suffern as it had all those years ago.
Since then we have brought back the live music that was first introduced back in 1994 for the first time at Rendezvous. We strive to maintain our quality in every aspect, especially now during covid time. We follow all protocols of hygiene & sanitation to make sure our guests always feel safe.
With rendezvous on an upswing, we decided it’s time to launch our Rendezvous café de Jazz, our all day breakfast Jazz Café on the ground floor as a tribute to our founder. At our Jazz Café we brought back to life all our breakfast platters from the good old days. We serve a variety of English breakfast, freshly baked in house croissants & pastries.
