Now the time is to boost our immunity and maintain our physical health to stay healthy in this pandemic situation. Hope the Indian heritage Yoga, provides people a positive vibes.

YOGA is the gift of our ancestors to the World. The origin of yoga was in India thousands of years ago. It is the greatest accomplishment of Indian civilization and now spreads its prominence around the globe.

The word” Yoga” actually means union. it is a practice that connects the body and mind and spirit through different body postures ,meditation , breathing practices and kriyas .Yoga is one of the six Aastikas (orthodox) schools of Hindu tradition OR Ancient India .the practice of Yoga has been thought to date back pre-Vedic Indian traditions ;possibly in the Indus valley civilizations around 3000 BCE and also there are many other backgrounds to prove the Yoga is the oldest cure and prevention to many ailments and gate to complex meditation and spiritual practices.

Well, we all have heard this and read this in so many books, internet and also television , but it is always up to listening and leave it to fly in the air . Are we really applying what we have learnt and read into our lives? Though we hear good things have we used them to make our life better?

And there is also another heavy stone that pulls us down because most of them think Yoga is only about advanced flexibility, advance Yogasanas or complicated breathing or kriyas etc.

But YOGA is not that idea of complications. It is like basic notes of music where every musician who compose his own tune. Yoga is for everyone and this reminds me of my GURUJI’S quotes

“Anyone can practice Yoga .It is for all the generation, ailing group and disabled. Except lazy people; lazy people can’t practice Ashtanga yoga.” It benefits both body and mind. Yoga is surprisingly boosts the immunity and the brain power. Physical health and mental peace is the key of happiness in life.

Regular practice of Yoga creates

ü Mental clarity and calmness

ü Increases body awareness

ü Relieves chronic stress patterns

ü Relaxes mind , centre’s attention and sharpens the mind

Adapting yoga provides all the above. Since, I am the Ashtanga Yoga practitioner and YOGA teacher from my own experience I can say that practising yoga regularly trains our mind to be in the present and as a result we lead our lives in the present moment, which reminds me about Lord Krishnas words in the Bhagavatgita ,”life doesn’t exist in past or in the future ; life exists only in the present .”

Apart from this some more benefits of constant Yoga practice is

ü Weight loss , boost memory

ü Improves sleep ,relieves stress

ü Lowers blood sugar

ü BOOSTS IMMUNITY ; which is most necessary in present situation

ü Overall mobility and fitness

ü Regulates metabolism

“Yoga is an invaluable gift of India‘s ancient tradition and is a holistic approach to health and well-being.”- Narendra Modi,

Therefore practice of Yoga consistently teaches patience, perseverance and being in present moment on the mat as well as off the mat.

“Practice, practice, practice and all is coming.”

So if you are wondering WHERE DO I START ….??

THEN THIS IS A SIMPLE YOGA GUIDE FOR U TO JUST START AND NOT THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE SO BRING IN YOUR MATS.
